the idea here is that they’re putting out the most obvious ideas.
in theory, this should get the audience thinking. Make them wonder if it’s one of these three explanations, or something else.
hopefully it will involve them in the mystery (instead of rejecting it as a bunch of confusion).
The explanation will out. but. not for a little bit more time. Just thought it important to have the characters themselves wonder about it. aloud.
