why is this kinda rushed? i’m off at WebVisons conference all week (away from home)
i liked the idea that the family, known for their talking, would just utter grunts and such (for this, and tomorrow’s strip).

we see:
- timmy claw the shit out of a foot.
- Veronica punched hard in the gut.
- mom fly backwards and crash into dad’s head in jar.
(originally she was scripted to be more clearly clocked int he head, and thus drop her husband’s head. but. i decided it was weird to carry a head into battle. … though it now occurs to me that maybe the idea was they they would run for it. hmm. )
(anywho. I wanted the head to be kinda knocked out of the jar)
p.s. I tried to kinda draw a “splat” or “wham” jagged star behind the mom’s head in final frame. to match her hair. but.
doesn’t work. doesn’t stand out. darn. hmmf.
