yep. another new strip.
I’m finding the scripts for these “doctor” segments to be wholly inadequate.
this sequence (of three strips) just had some shit the doctor doing tests, beasts bringing a “carrying chair” to her chamber, and something about her telling the doctor she loved him. and loved the pain of being alive.
wtf?
sooo. I was drawing some designs for a potential poster/book-cover last week. Which had her standing in the wind, bandages blowing about. For some reason this sticks in my head as a good goal for her before the next big number jump.
eh.
so now I’m working towards making this image happen.
I want her to be standing up on something, over a bunch of people. perhaps the arena. or a mountain. or a pyramid. not sure yet (but, the Arena would make most sense, I suppose).
Blah blah. this probably just makes me sound totally scattered, rather than offering insight into the strip.
It strikes me that it’s bad storytelling to just have some of the test subjects show up as body guards. ehhh. not sure how to explain this though, without dialogue. Also, she’s supposed to be communicating/commanding them without words. … not sure how to convey this. eek.
hmm.
well, i’ll dwell on this. because it’s after midnight. thus. time for bed.
