ooohhhhh my god. I had to flip everything in the second two panels (for continuity), from last years crack at this strip. Then I had to go and flip the flopped guy back. For continuity. this means flipping portions of: white rain layer, texture layer, pencils later, clouds layer, yellow highlights. visor highlights. a second yellow highlights layer that was set to multiply. annnd that’s it.
I’d like to pretend that this insight into my “photoshop layering practices” will suffice as a commentary.
BUT WILL IT?

p.s. ok, i also tweaked the colors, added cloud outlines, erase faded the suit textures a little, lengthened the flopped guys legs a little, made the wrist gizmo’s green hand stand out more. redrew a few tiny details for slightly clearer edge definition. It was a tweaker’s delight.
p.p.s. I counted, and there are only 4 pieces of old artwork left. The next three, which finish off this “it’s raining on the dudes” storyline of great justice. … and then there’s one more family strip I plan to re-purpose. sooo.
scary times ahead. will be interesting to see if stop the daily update, or if the art just slips a bit, or… maybe everything will magically get faster AND BETTER! WOO HOO! time will tell. father time. our all father sublime. of thyme.
