Ok, heh. Heathers is my favorite movie. Top three at least. And the first frame dialog is a tribute. (the girl was to be named “Wendy” as sort of a peter pan nod. but feh. Veronica fits better with the kind of 50′s perfect family). … Maybe I’ll add a little teddy bear named Wendy.
Eh. Well, I want people to use nicknames, so I don’t have to establish that they are a family who’ve lived together for some time. I went with “v” because of the classic series. A little ominous. But also acceptable as a nickname?
I also wanted to establish that Timmy has sort of a speech impediment. Maybe he’s just being cute (maybe not). but I plan to always use some apostrophe abbreviating in his speaking parts.
Finally, I originally had it that she just wasn’t hungry today. But cranking it up to a week gives more reason for the parents to be expressing such concern.

I suppose it likely isn’t clear… But I wanted this story line to be like The Family Circus. All wholesome and innocuous. But then shit starts happening. Because I think it’d be interesting to see how the family circus would deal with some of the things that are coming. That isn’t the reason for this storyline. There’s a totally separate plot here. It is just the style I picked for this storyline.
