The idea here is that a ratty rat-like creature has burrowed out of the white wasteland. It looks up with sneering fangs, then scampers off. It isn’t clear if we see one leg from each dude, or one dude bowlegged. wee.
teeeeeechnically I guess it’s established that shadows are grey blobs, and the lines are boot-tread tracks. So the first frame is suggesting a dude is actually stepping backwards. i guessssss. But. whatever. meh. fix it in post.
