As I recall, when i first drew this one, I wanted to put some more time in. make it clear the strip wasn’t about copping out on the artwork. Also felt like maybe I didn’t make it clear enough that these 2 dudes don’t give a whit about the plant life. So we literally see some sort of trash or twisted metal, next to a wee plant. and wrist guy steps on the plant to get the trash. ho ho ho.
the last frame is supposed to be an extreme closeup of his boot. I tried putting little symbols on it. but it looks bad. maybe i just needed to put some notable tread on the bottom edge. hmm. I dunno.
but the idea was to keep with the “covering lots of distance” by having a distant background, middle ground, foreground sequence. hmm. Maybe if i drew it more like a boot heal bending up, i could emphasize the plants demise. hmm. seems like over kill though. it isn’t a strip about fucking with plants. hmm. HMM.
