By now I hope the story is beginning to come into focus. Some people are walking in a strange environment. yes? Shadows pass a plant as it loses a petal. is it too boring to be interesting? does any more or less seem to shine through?
hmm. …
There is a specific numbering scheme/puzzle that I’m pursuing here. But I hesitate to explain it, because it was part of what struck me as “fun” about this project. I like the idea of the title of a thrice-weekly comic being a “countdown” that ultimately relates to the comic’s story.
I mention this explicitly, because the title alone didn’t seem to be enough of a “ticking timebomb” to keep anyone interested in the story’s slow start, last time (last year, when I first attempted this). I wonder if people didn’t care, or didn’t notice, or if you can only have two people walking silently for sooooo long, before even rocks will get bored.
…
Note for anyone who’s actually read the first run: While I am recycling many of the early strips from last year (though I am tweaking a couple little things here and there), the first major deviation is due to occur around “Blood/Sugar2001″ (or about a dozen strips from now). Feel free to come back then. Basically the week after next. :)
