INsights: dunno. i thought of the punchline first. Finally saw my first giant ugly spider in my new apartment earlier tonight. YEEK. killed it. Boy, I do not need giant poisonous things like that in my intestines.
the teeth detail in panel 2 looks much better at higer rez. hmm. eh, fail.
this is sort of a bland concept/joke. to me. so i just took Viddy out of panel 3. for some reason this keeps it funny. for me. Has he run off frame for a moment? Is he suddenly not in the visible light spectrum, to illustrate his point? Really, i was just thinking it was interesting how he didn’t even have to be there for it to be clear that he was saying it. kind of a design/psychology thing. i hesitate to claim it as a gag. eh.
For some reason, it is clear to me Viddy was talking about himself. And i think it is implied that spiders don’t get in your intestines from your mouth entry way. not that this is funny. hmm. i spent some time reworking the words hoping to avoid cliches (like “hell dimension” or “in darkness”. which both seem like buffyisms). ber blap.
