INsights: This is a wordplay groaner.
Apologies if it comes off as a completely strange. in-the-bad-way.
I wrote this after the roommate moved out (see earlier strip mentioning roommate with some word play pun shit). For some reason, when friday night was drawing to close and I had no new ideas for a strip, this little script struck me as funny. I’m not proud.
word wise: The whole idea is that depressed and pissed are combined. sad and lonely. fat and smelly. ugly and greasy. The final panel is supposed to suggest a change from viddy feeling emotions to viddy actually feeling Disky’s fat assy ass. Perhaps disky was actually feeling viddy physically.
Since it’s weird and doesn’t really work logically, i have them both saying thank you as a form of taking a bow for a failed conversation. or genuinely thanking each other for feeling each other up.
Art wise. fail. just tooled around with the arrow background froma recent strip, and tried to make it sort of like the entrance to a house. fooled around with weird stupid illustrator effects for the sky fuzz. on one hand struggling to create a video tape “band” glitch. but failing. and leaving it in anyway. ended up muting the colors at the last minute. it isn’t the top-of-the-line background art i’d like to be making. but. whatever. it works. there was far too much trivial tiny tweaking on this one. it’s not really noticable once shrunk down. shrug.
the title is meant to suggest both weird and word. and be sort of Norsey. because i’m still thrilled at how awesome Too Human turned out to be. yay Norse stuff! …
