INsights: Uhhh, my computer’s power supply has a broken fan. And after my computer is on for more than a couple hours, everything sort of locks up (and things get weird). sooo. I’ve been leaving my computer off as much as possible all weekend (and calling tech savvy friends for insights/troubleshooting).
This strip was inspired by the desire to have the computer on for the shortest possible amount of time. I doodled giant eyeballs looking around on a notepad. I pondered the thought that our eyeballs probably don’t get the message that they’re just watching a movie. they are merely following orders to take it all in. not deep. but the more i tweaked the simple words around this concept, the more it seemed like a deepish poem. to me. so. there you have it. i think there are double entendres all over the place. weee.
In other news, i just saw The Dark Knight again. this time on an IMAX screen. it was incredible. Enjoyed it much more thoroughly (the first time through i kind of distrusted it on many levels). and it felt like watching my first HD DVD movie on a big HDtv. ie, it was a snobby thrill. I think i spotted someone in the audience doing coke part way through the movie. DECADENCE to the point of FRIGHT.
there need to be more drugs that are applied directly to the eyeballs. All social tabooery aside, it’s just gross to look over and wonder if someone is placing something their nose and snorting, or if they’re just engaging in some strange sort of nose pickery. bleh. fuck.
