INsights: It is monday.Just got back from many days of awkward sleepings. Back is alllll fucked up. weeee!
I wrote down a script for this strip while camping at Longbow. As usual, it seemed clear that i should just take the first two written panels and make them the entire strip. (the other two panels went on to have viddy asking about layaway programs, and disky being wayyyy too busy. bleh). I’ve no idea if it works on any level. i am far too tired to think straight.
Art wise, i started to trace viddy into vector art, and quickly realized i should put this off. Instead i switched the order of disky heads, and played around with enlarging. It is vapid soulless quick art. but hopefully still art. Perhaps this is why i am afraid to think about it. I couldn’t figure a quick way to crop the enlarged busts (so that illustrator would easily poop out the 72dpi version). so i just opened it in photoshop and cropped. Then realized i’d forgotten to change the background color. so i tweaked those specific hues. it seemed to cause banding. so i desaturated those hues. weee.
i feel very soulless. but unapologetic. it is all within the theme of wanton hatred, wherein the source far outweighs the focus/victim. The thought of enduring the burden of hate for just 20 bucks appeals to me. for reasons i cannot think about just now. sleeeeep.
p.s. i should add that i was thrilled to see that i’d properly spelled zucchinis in my current mental state. although it seems there is some debate over the plural. According to Google, only in the German language is an s added for plural? wha? also, note this tasty trivial detail from the merriam webster dictionary:
does this mean to say that zucchini as a name hasn’t existed for a full millenium yet? WHAT? it boggles my mind. i may start crying. i watched some sort of iron chef competition featuring zucchini’s before sleeping on the floor at my snooty but cool aunt marie’s house of weird aromas and oxygen tanks. woof. good luck sleeping tonight!
