INsights:I thought this one through while having a cigarette. I can’t put my finger on why I think it works. I expect most people would say … it doesn’t work? I’d bet any who might have been checking back regularly to see new strips, might… give up after this one? Not sure.
Visually I was imagining “a dark and stormy night” story telling tone. Doubt it comes across. But it was interesting to me to play out one slow bit of speech from the first panel, instead of having peices spoken by Viddy in each panel. In my mind he’s not speaking in the second or third panel. He’s just waiting for the sound to finish playing out from the first panel. Something about just seeing him stand there agape, with the slow bubbles playing out above his head, makes me smile. hmm.
