Yay, more poop focus! urgh.

I don’t feel terribly comfortable explaining this one for some reason. I guess basically, i’m not sure it makes sense, and can’t think of a way to vocalize why it strikes me as finished. I wrote this one a few weeks back, and tonight when i sat down to quickly whip out a nearly overlooked strip for Monday, it seemed appropo. Perhaps the fact that i have a raging head cold is the key.

But, uh, visually, i dig doing the shadows. The idea is that disky takes the cake plate away, and is returning with the shit plate, which is stacked much higher. I was thinking of something along the lines of “having our cake and eating it too”, verses the fact that i’ve piled way too many things on my plate at the moment. I can’t explain why it feel like the comic is finished to me. hmm. in the script i wrote “ok, that’s enough.” for the final frame, but chose to erase it when looking at the layout. Somehow removing this overstatement makes it clearer in my mind. although, again, i can’t explain what i am getting “clearly.” (something about the cake and the shit being the same thing…)

errr. that’s about it. i made the viddy smirk in the first frame by rotating his usual gaping frown around, and adding the lip line. Was tempted to make Disky show his hand holding up the plate, but ditched this notion quickly (as it’s very hard to do hands in their style).

ra. Not sure what else there is to type. It feels like the top half of my skull is a rusty piece of metal in the middle of a desert. dry burning ugh.
