INsights:This is just one of a million little scripts i popped out a few weeks back. little quick word play. If it isn’t clear, the idea is that viddy suggests a concept and disky explains the result. the violence of a punch would lead to an audience satisfying punch line (which in my mind is the goal of all these scripts, i just often fail or derail). But the pain of trying to make a pun, or making a drunk punchy pun, is a ticket to the poor house.
That’s all. just a quick self deprication over the way i always focus more on puns than proper jokes. so be it! raa!
in other news, i’ve been getting a ton of bizzare spam comments. just random characters. not even linking to anything. it must be spam, but, what’s the point of such malarky? what does any spam outfit gain from dumping “38273hduyqwb3dyg2q” style garbage into the fields for name, email, website, and comments? weird. hmm. …Â weird to the point where my paranoid mind wonders if it’s some strange friend just stopping by to dump 4 to 6 comments every couple days. … “i wonder if we’ll ever knowwwww”.
in still other news, i spent some time today trying to think up a way to turn this news story into a strip:

no great ideas yet. but i’d like to think this approach (cool fringe science), mixed with the abstract humor derailment mixture, could add up to a unique strip. hmm. well, we’ll see.
in rambling incoherency news: I spent a little time today working up a series of strips to tell a little story. part of me figured it would make the comic a little more rewarding to have some continuity, if only for a few days. part of me worries that i’m too aware of penny arcade, and subconciously assuming they’re the already delivering the pinnacle of all my efforts. can’t think like that! ahhh! but i finished reading through their online backlog today, and was a little miffed to see quite a few movie references. soooo, just “doing penny arcade, but for movies instead of video games” seems a lot more pointless now. hmm.
blah blah! more later.
