Somehow this idea came up while talking to Carrie. I can’t remember the context or buildup, exactly. I think I was ranting along on some thread about bad ideas, and then this struck me as a really awesome idea, and I had to run off down the hall and write it down.
I suppose this would would better as a pleasing web strip if i were to draw the clown surgical mask, and include balloons around the head, maybe dealing items out as the frames progress to support the idea. but i think my art skills would have dropped the ball. And dragged it down. the comedy ball that is. (i find it very hard to create anything with any detail in the same simple style as viddy and disky. So new items tend to stand out as a sub par. Case in point : Filmy. and That one strip where i tried to draw hands with simple circle shapes. erg.)
But seriously, how fucking awesome would this concept have been when you were a child? An excuse to shoot at your friend’s mouths. The creepiness of surgical masks and clowns might hurt the appeal. hmm. but the if i could shoot my friends in the face until balloons popped on their heads : MY GOD. imagine, indeed.
